I am a Artist who does realistic and Whimsical artwork. As long as I can remember I have always been inspired by art and colors. The type of art and colors that reach out and grab your attention.
The art I created was always with the desire to serve and glorify God.
I have had two solo shows at John Whites Second Street Gallery in Coudersport, Pa. The first show was Sept 10, 2005, and the other a couple years later.
After moving to Ohio I had the opportunity to show my work at Art on the Green which is a big art show in Hudson, Ohio that is held once a year. Prior to this show I won an award for my painting “Spring in Coudy’’ that was shown at the art show.
At one point in my life the Lord called me to be the Artist in Residence at Hospice of Summa at Akron City Hospital in Ohio. I would sit at the Hospice center and paint, which gave me the opportunity to listen to the stories of grieving family members. I would get them involved in painting, which relieved the grief they were feeling for awhile. I saw how serving the Lord is a rewarding pursuit through helping others. I did this for about a year from 2010- 2011.
Most recently The Akron Beacon Journal did a two page interview on my daughter and I for a project we embarked on, to paint pictures through seasons at the Summit County Metro parks in the area where I live. I have had a showing of some of the pictures I’ve painted of the parks at the Munsel Store, which is one of the Erie Canal locks in Stow, Ohio. My project continues, and will take a long time to paint all the beautiful scenes in the parks.
All along I have been doing Commission work. Being an artist is very rewarding.
I attended college at The University of Akron in Ohio and obtained a degree in Business Management with honors in 1998.
